“Pare down to the essence, but don't remove the poetry.”
- Leonard Koren
Ronald Lam is a Tkaronto/Toronto based interdisciplinary artist, conducting research at the intersection of psychology, social anthropology and existential philosophy. Through poetic concepts, Lam applies those interests to ephemeral installations that span across disciplines, media and scales moving between the individual and the social. Lam first started his academic career in physics then transitioning to architecture and environmental design, each shift informing the foundation of his practice. His work utilizes different forms of viewer engagement to question inherited mannerisms and belief structures, moving the world toward the realm of responsible creation.
